The Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary in Morigaon district, with the highest density of rhinos per square km, was opened for both foreign and domestic tourists on Friday. The first jeep and elephant safari in the sanctuary was flagged off by Assam Forest Minister Rockybul Hussain. More than 100 tourists, including nine foreigners, enjoyed the safari in the sanctuary.
