In a video grab, Bikram Singh Brahma, a Congress leader from Chirang district, is seen being nabbed by the police for allegedly attempting to rape a woman. Brahma, who is the president of the Bodoland Territorial Area Districts’ Congress Co-ordination Committee, reportedly tried to rape the woman at Salbari in Chirang district on Thursday morning. As the woman raised an alarm, her husband called the neighbours. Angry villagers then kept Brahma in their custody. Local TV channels also showing villagers beating up the Congress leader.
