Teachers’ Day which falls on tomorrow as ‘black day’

Teachers’ community to observe Teachers’ Day as ‘black day’

SILCHAR, September 4: The teachers’ community has decided to observe the 52nd Teachers’ Day which falls on tomorrow as ‘black day’, condemning the police inaction in tracing out the headmaster of Baladabadi LP School in Hailakandi who was abducted a few days back.

It can be recollected here that Sarif Uddin Barbhuiya, headmaster of Baladabadi LP School, was forcefully abducted by the miscreants from his residence around 14 days back who still remains traceless. Although police has been trying its best, but fails to recover him from the possession of the kidnappers. The teachers’ community of the district recently held a meeting where they decided to observe the Teachers’ Day by wearing ‘black badges’. They said that it was very unfortunate that the teaching community is also not safe in the region. Taking a dig at the police inability to nab the miscreants, the teachers said that the police should pull up their socks and should immediately recover the teacher from the kidnapper’s possession.
